What a fantastic start to the school year! Our lovely Year 3's have entered KS2 ready and eager to learn. They have got stuck in to Spanish week and have enjoyed listening to Spanish music and using percussion, dancing some flamenco routines and are starting to grasp basic Spanish phrases. Please check out our photos.

Outdoor PE: Fridays
Please make sure your child has a proper kit in school at all times. This includes: white t-shirt, black shorts/joggers and daps/trainers.
A piece of homework for either Maths, Literacy or Topic will be given out each Friday. It needs to be returned by the following Wednesday so it can be marked in time for teachers to give out the next piece.
Spellings will also be given out on Friday and children will be expected to practise these several times throughout the week. They will be tested on the following Friday and then given their new set. There will be certificates for those who try extra hard with learning their spellings.
It is very important that children engage in regular reading practise. We expect the children to read to an adult or an older child 5 times weekly. A supervised session on Bug Club is a great way to work towards this goal, particularly because it has a focus on comprehension which is vital for building strong readers. There will be small prizes for those who make a good effort with this.
Children are expected to know all times tables and how to tell the time by the end of year 3. Please practise these skills with your child at home to ensure they stay on top of this.
Many thanks in advance for your support.
